WHY I CHOSE MY program
I’ve always been interested in Biology; the eye itself has always appealed to me more than any other part of the body and SAIT’s Optician program was perfect in incorporating my interests and future career endeavours since their two year program offers a high employment rate after graduation. It opens up new possibilities to getting a professional job while possibly attending more schooling after graduating.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
During my spare time I am often either reading or drawing. It’s always been a saying in my household that you should seek knowledge wherever you go; it leads you to be more aware of your surroundings!
MY BEST TIPS & ADVICE FOR STUDENTS

If possible, take a gap year. If you’re unsure of what you want to do after HS. It’s so much better to take a year off and find out your true passions while working to save money for post-secondary.

Review your notes every night from your classes. It helps so much when studying for exams because instead of cramming, you already have an idea of topics you are unsure/areas of weakness.

Take a break in between your studies! Your mental health is just as important as your academics.
